Hello! :)

Hello, everyone!

My name is Haley Ertl, and I am beginning my third year at SJSU. I am currently majoring in communication studies with a minor in public relations. I am a full-time student and I work part-time for a bay area real estate company called Bridgepointe Group. My position is office manager/marketing coordinator, and I enjoy working for this company because it is environmentally friendly by emphasizing the use of the internet and applications like Dropbox to avoid wasting paper. I especially like this because it allows me to work from home more often. :)

I am also a singer in a band, and performing is my passion. I also love hiking, running, and being outside. I consider myself a bit of a nerd, so I am excited to be starting a new semester. I chose the communication studies major because I am very interested in the deeper meanings that are expressed through our interactions with one another in a physical and verbal setting. I look forward to learning more about communication and how to handle conflict, because it will help me in both my personal and professional life. My goal is to better understand how to deal with difficult situations, and how to resolve conflicts through different types of interactions.
